Coming up for air...

Apologies to those who'll be disappointed not to see a Work in Progress Wednesday update today.  I haven't done any more on the piece beyond a small sample on another piece of evenweave to test how the petit point stitches (tent stitch, basically - half cross stitch worked over one thread) sit near the fractional cross stitches.  I did one of each quarter and three quarter in each of the possible four corners and the petit point sits fine against all of them.

Anyway, I don't expect to get a great deal done just now as I'm trying to catch up with a few other things and I need to be up home in Leeds next week for a few days, firstly to meet with my mum and brother as well as mum's main nursing home carer's to determine what the next steps are to be for her, (very emotional and difficult stuff, as many will have experienced themselves at some point), and then to earn a couple of hundred pounds, which we rather need right now.  So, Sir will have the pleasure of the place to himself for a couple of days, and I'm not expecting much on the stitching front  Still, you never know.

Anyway, if things are quiet over the next week, you'll know why.  They might not be though.  We'll see.  I'll be making a SewandSo order out soon though and I can visit my old favourite shops on Tuesday too, so that'll give me some retail therapy at least.=)

Today's photo isn't relevant to my current projects, but is a pretty one from about five years ago that I thought readers, especially those who've found Sew in Love since then might enjoy.

Hope you will have time to do some stitching - it can do wonders when you are stressed. The piece in the photos is beautiful!

It's a delightful picture.
I do hope that the week turns out less stressful and more successful than you fear.
